How are you this week? This week we had 3 subscribers, 6 people ask for links, 2 people emailed me back and 1 signup in our Downline but not under my control to place under our new to be team leader. 

Congrats to Igor for becoming our newest Team Leader under Elizabeta! 

Congrats to Steve who is now in Step Nine and eligible to be our newest upcoming team leader! 

Thanks to Elizabeth for helping us with all The Sixteen Steps. We are now working on Step 13 to make it better. Her team hit a total of 18,430 hits this week and two new members! Awesome!!!

Arthurs team had hits and subscribers too. 

Torab (under Arthur) is a Team leader too and just got out of hospital for a chest infection! He is on the road to recovery!! 🙂

( 1 on Downline team and 1 on Elizabeta’s team), so remember how important you are to all of this.

The “Summer & Winter” of Your Business Life.

 

“Summer” relaxes you into a state of happiness and bliss where you sometimes forget that “winter” is only around the corner! 
.
So wake up! 
 
Many years ago, Jim Rohn wrote a book called “The “Seasons of Life”
 
This book was very inspiring to me. It described the different seasons of your business life among other things. Let me share the hard core basics of the book with you: 
.
Each “Season” we are given “tools” to work with: the seed, the soil, the rain and sun. These are non negotiable. If you use them correctly, they bring reward. We in our business also have tools. And if you learn how to use them, they will have similar effects. 
.
The “Spring” is the time when opportunities are presenting themselves.
.
 “Summer” is a carefree time. But still the “bugs” come out and try to eat away at your business.
.
“Fall” is harvest and if you planted and watered during the summer you hopefully will have a return that you need to bring in.
.
“Winter” is when you are tested whether you worked hard to have food during the times when the oppressing cold, wind and snow try to destroy. 
 
Isn’t that a great description! It’s such a helpful philosophy. 
.
Here’s some more thoughts on it: 
.
The Spring is the time when you have the chance to take advantage of the opportunities. The person who “sleeps” and doesn’t take advantage of this time is very unwise.
.
But you all have to admit, many of us have had a good opportunity presented us and didn’t take advantage of it. 
.
In Summer we have the gratification of seeing the “seeds” of our labor growing and coming up! But along side of this we must protect our business from the “bugs” and scorching sun. We must “water” our business and customers and take care of them lest they feel abandoned and dry up.
.
The Fall is the time when if you “sleep” instead of harvest you will lose out. If you didn’t plant in the Spring, now is when this will show. If you didn’t protect and “water” in the Summer, much of your bisiness will be ruined. But if you worked hard this too will be apparent. 
.
The Winter is the time when if you reaped your harvest in the fall, you will be protected when nothing is growing. You will be happy because you and your loved ones will have food and water when outside is barren. 
.
So now I want to share a little of my story as a GDI Team Elite leader looking through the glasses of “The Seasons”: 
.
1. The Spring:  When I first became a GDI Team Elite leader in May of 2018, I have to say I was afraid I would not be able to bring in new people on my team. The six members I had received from my Sponsor Kathy were falling off. A couple stayed and this helped. It was the “Spring” for me and I went out and “planted” my ads. But I must admit, I had been working on my advertising skills and advertising reach now for a few years and I found I had a good return for my “planting”. I was hitting around 3000 – 4000 hits a week on my own without much help from my team. But I was getting new people into my business just using the regular GDI TE ads we all get when we first start. I didn’t have a lot of creative ads out there but it didn’t seem to matter. 
.
2. The Summer: Soon the “summer” was literally upon me and I had been growing my team. It had got up to 15 now – the most I had ever got from working a business before. I was excited and was diligent to “water” my team. I sent out emails each week to each of my team offering to help them. Even if they didn’t respond, I kept it up. 
.
I also was diligent each week to write a newsletter to help my team. I was careful to implement all I had seen my seven figure mentor doing. However, honestly sometimes it seemed like I was writing the newsletters for only one or two memebers of the team and sometimes I even wondered if even they were paying attention! In hindsight now though, I’m glad I wrote every one, as eventually much of the material ended up in some fashion in the Sixteen Steps. 
.
3. The Fall: In October or November (“The Fall” for real and also for my business), I was contacted by Elizabeta for the first time from a email I wrote (attached to a Safelist ad I had sent out) and I was surprised that there was another marketer out there with equal or greater passion to succeed then my own! Haha! We quickly joined forces and after both our efforts helping her to become a leader we began working on “The Sixteen Steps” together. This was a huge catalyst for growth for us and helping out team understand GDI Team Elite and marketing. Soon we had met other great marketers on our team (if you’ve actively completing the Steps – you know who you are) and things really started to move even faster.
.
To me this seemed like the “fall” for me me when I was really beginning to reap rewards for all the years I’ve been plugging away at internet marketing without a whole lot to show for it. As I write this page I now I have 39 people in my organization somewhere between level 1-5. Often I wake up and see a new member and don’t know them or how they got there! Lol. It’s such a blessing to God to see something like this happen. I’ve been in network marketing organizations for years and years and never seen this happen. But truth be told, what I have is because of the leaders I’ve learned from and the pain and suffering I went through to learn the skills I needed to have. And this is something to encourage you too! 
.
4. The Winter:  You have to really laugh because my business has been following similar patters with the actual seasons! So yes I am feeling the winter really coming on. It’s really funny because since June of last year  I have had a consistent 1-3 new members join my team each week (with only a couple down weeks). But for the last few weeks, no matter what new ads I make or how many hits I get or how many people connect with me and how many ask for the link, it has been a barren land with only a couple new members joining me personally. There are of course reasons for all of this.
.
One reasons could be that I need to expand my advertising sources as maybe the people out there are not new ones or aren’t the kind of people  we are looking for and are just not interested in GDI Team Elite.
.
The Second reason could be that I need to “fish” with a different “worm”, meaning that I need to come from a whole new angle that might catch their attention. This i have begun to implement but it’s hard especially when you want to keep moving forward and help build your new leaders. Still, the “winter” it is and maybe it’s a “winter” for me because I have hit a plateau with my marketing skills and need to grow past the obstacles. This however, is the fate of all – not just me. So remember these words when you feel the “winter” coming on (even when it may be summer time). 
.
Sometimes the “Winter” can present itself in different forms. You may be a new team leader having no success at bringing in new members. Or you may be just getting your thousand hits each week faithfully and wondering how long it’s really going to take to become a leader yourself. 
.
.
Just remember this: You’ve hit a similar place as I have and need to grow yourself bigger than the obstacles against you. 
.
For some or you you may need to write down a new strategy and begin putting it into action.
.
If you’re a team leader and don’t have the GDI Team Elite capture pages that we make for you in TrafficWave or need help “trouble shooting” what’s happening on your pages and your ads then contact me …I have a lot of tips for you. One big tip: it takes work. Just get it done. 
.
If you are not “watering” or contacting your team weekly to help them – then get to work. Write something personal and helpful. Begin a team newsletter and commit to making it a success. Napoleon Hill always said to write down what actual work you will do to earn the money and success you want. I’m paraphrasing of course but you get my drift. 
.
If you are not a team leader yet but have not got to Step Nine yet so you can get in line to start receiving new members, then figure out a time in your week where you can just work on getting those Steps done.
.
If you’re at Step Nine or above and are waiting for your new members, do all you can to advertise and also help me figure out how to make our pages more responsive. Your insight on the pages I’m using could make the difference. Our unity together could be what gets us “over the top”..
.
I hope this discussion on the philosophy of the “Seasons of Life” has been helpful for you! I hope you can see that each season could be at any part in your life (body, soul and spirit) and at any point. It doesn’t have to really be winter time outside for a bunch of negative things to be happening!   .

Crucial Marketing Concepts

And Elizabeta went on to say that the more skillful a marketer you were, the less chance has to do with it.

Also, she explained that that having a team that KNOW, LIKE and TRUST you will bring you more sales as your team know that you are not just trying to get a sale and will buy from you. You are all about helping your team and therefore they trust you and know that you will only show them quality tools and programs. The minute you take advantage of them is when you lose that trust.
.
Building carefully upon this trust is what takes your marketing from chance to consistent sales. 
.
Having said that, I want to share some advertising and marketing rules with you.
.
I will also share with you that I have found advertising GDI Team Elite much more predictable then any other opportunity that I’ve ever done. I think there is good reason behind this and that it has a lot to do with how GDI and GDI Team Elite marketing systems have been set up.
.
So now let’s get into it:

.

Advertising Key:

Ads must be:

1) Seen a lot with at least 1000 hits or more to know how they are working. Usually 1-3 subscribers is normal per 1000 hits (hits are not how many people you sent ads to. It is the amount of people actually clicking on your website). 
.
2) Best performing capture pages should be shared and seen often (it’s like having meat & potatoes).
. 
3) Switch up your pages to create interest (Like desert).
.
4) Have Creative & Fun pages in the batch.
.
5) Sent with Target ???? Market in mind (ex: Work from Home niche).
.
6) Break down niche even further to see inside Target Market (Ex: people tired of doing scam programs).
.
7) Make sure ads are seen on a LOT of Safelists so that if one area or Safelist/TE “dries up” from people on there with not enough interest , the others don’t. In other words, don’t put all your ads on one site only.
.
8) Sometimes it takes a person 7x to see an ad for them to decide to take action: If they see your picture or branding on many different pages this may also count.
.
So this equation may take a Week or a Month: 
.
Week: if someone is a free member and has to click for credits and sees your ad once on every site they use for traffic they might come across your picture or ad seven times in a week 
.
Month:  If someone is an upgraded traffic member and only clicks on one tenth or one out of thirty of the ads on each traffic site, they might come across your picture or ad seven times in a month.  
.
9) Most ads must be short and sweet pages (especially if using TE’s and often Safelists too) with just enough “meat” to create enough interest to get them to sign up but not too short (without enough  “food” to create interest).
The art of getting. someone to sign up is:
A) Offering them something of REAL VALUE that they really need. 
.
B) if you are a dentist you need to appeal to people with tooth aches. 
.
If you are an online marketer appealing to work at home people, you need to appeal to those suffering from getting no signups,
not enough traffic
or those
not making enough money.
..
C) The wording is very important. Getting them to a FREE offer or something they TRUST is crucial. Then they can take a look and if they like it, they will step further and buy or test it. This is a great feature for GDI because it comes with a free week trial and is not expensive monthly.
.
10) Getting someone on your list is only half the battle. The next half is the email campaign you send them and the relationship you build with them through your emails and the amount of interest you create so they contact you.
.
This is why the GDI Team Elite autoresponder with TrafficWave is so effective. It does an awesome job at helping new people to connect with the team leaders.

 How are you this week? This week we had 5 subscribers, 4 people asked for the link, 2 people emailed me back and we had 3 new sign ups this week!

The Importance of a Funnel

So what exactly is a funnel and why is it so important?

.
The answer in short: A funnel is like Wall Mart. You walk in wanting a candy bar and walk out with a book, paper towels a movie, a game system and then you walk back in because you forgot the candy bar! You see…Its a specialized system that allows you to sell many targeted items that people need.

But in our case the funnel is to eventually help YOU MAKE MONEY.
.

A funnel is a way to make a lot more money effectively helping people then you could ever make on a stand alone offer by itself.

.

With GDI Team Elite, the funnel is first to help build your knowledge and skill and also the team leaders business and then to help you BUILD YOUR business and YOUR teams knowledge and skill .

Let me share with you a business funnel that I was part of a while back. The name of the business was called MOBE and represented “My Online Business Education.” It cost $40 one time fee to join MOBE and this included a one on one personal coach for eight lessons on building an effective online business.
.
After the eighth lesson it became very expensive. Because of its super mentoring, it was very enticing to want to upgrade. I of course did upgrade and I leaned a ton from them, Their last high end ticket sale was $10,000 (ten thousand dollars) and they made that sale all the time. From this I leaned what an amazing funnel they had and  why their affiliates were making SO much money. It gave me an idea of what to do from them and what not to do.

What NOT to do was copy their greed as they eventually got taken down by the FTC, as there were too many complaints. Many people were spending too much and not making it back. Often however, this was their own fault as many people were not willing to actually work.
.
Our program is not like the MOBE program at all in that respect but has still taken valuable concepts from it’s funnel. But funnels are not original to MOBE. Almost every business online has a funnel of some sort. 
.
GDI Team Elite marketing system is an effective way of bringing people into a good solid business. And The Sixteen Steps funnel is way more powerful then GDI by itself …and you will get your own personal copy of the Steps on your own GDI website to share with your team when you finish the Sixteen Steps. The funnel teaches advertising, building your Email List, investing basics, personal development and many more things including duplication – which is crucial.

Duplication is the key to making real money with GDI. And this is explained in detail in the Sixteen Steps. Duplication helps you to build 5-8 strong teams which also duplicate and create income for you on many levels down.  Not only this but the Sixteen Steps funnel will double or triple what wealth your making from GDI alone.

.

Remember, GDI is only front end wealth. Other programs that really help us build our GDI advertising and our business are on the back end of the funnel. One such program is the Secret of the Big Dogs program.  And this program is effective in really helping team leaders bring in new people with their advertising.  Another program that pays out high residual monthly income (and powerful $500 – $1000 high ticket marketing education items) is the Power Lead System (PLS).

I hope this has helped you understand the importance of a good funnel. Honestly I don’t know a single funnel out there that teaches all we do in the Sixteen Steps and helps you build the vast amount of Income Streams as we have.

TE’s & Safelists:

What’s the difference? 

.

There is certainly a difference, and this difference should be understood!

.

I searched the internet looking for others views on the difference.

.

Warrior Forum has a lot to say, but most of the people who share their opinions here have little real experience about the two of them. I have been using these methods since 2012 and understand a lot.

.

But some statistics I found on the forum  from a few people that seemed to know what they were talking about seemed to have similar thoughts as the comment below from glynlafferty:

“Using Safelists you can usually get a conversion rate at around 5% and with traffic exchanges it’s much lower.”

.

He also commented:

.

“I use safelists for listbuilding and can get anything up to 15 leads per day from them. The main thing is not to get bogged down in them only some of them work that have active clickers the rest of them are useless.”

.

.Also the GDI Team Elite website says that “…Traffic Exchanges do not get the results that Safelists and Mailers get.”

.

So we see that GDI Team Elite is not entirely against Traffic Exchanges. Let me now add my thoughts on the subject:

.

My thoughts are thus: The good Traffic Exchanges and Safelists are very similar in nature. They both require you to view fellow member ads and open the link to  websites where you then confirm you saw it and then you move on to the next one. However, there ARE some specific differences:

.

Disadvantage of TE’s: 

  1. Safelists links are often opened up from an email and even though MOST emails are not read, this still gives a slight advantage that the viewer MAY decide to read it if something catches their attention.
  2. Even when clicking on links from a Safelist (and NOT opening an email) when you FINISH confirming that you saw the website, the ad page does not disappear like on a TE until you actively click the page off, thus giving you another chance to view the page if there was still something you forgot to view but suddenly have a last minute reason to view it once more.
.
Advantage of Text Exchange:.
.
1. Text Exchanges do not allow you to only use a certain amount of credits. You can keep clicking to eternity and adding more and more credits as you do.
,
Most Safelists only allow you to mail your ad every two or three days or on occasion once a day but this is usually because of an upgrade if so and most do not give this privilege even with the full upgrade. So this IS an advantage for a TE.
.
Some exception safelists that I can think of are Europeansafelist, MountainHigh Mailer and MailOurList. These three allow you to mail EVERYDAY with an upgrade and MailOurList if you are upgraded and have enough credits or if you view 40 ads each day. 
.
*Note: If you want the link for these safelists, they are mentioned at the end of this page if you scroll all the way down

.
.
These two disadvantages and reasons alone allow a slight advantage for Safelists over even the best Text Exchanges.
.
Even though the one advantage of Text Exchanges is a good one it still does not give the slight advantage of having your website viewed in a more comprehensive way.
.
The one thing I do suggest when using Safelists and Traffic Exchanges is that the more your website gets viewed, the more possibility you have of someone being curious enough to view it more carefully.
.
Having your picture and your name attached to the page (or your team leaders in our case) increases this chance even more and if you add new and interesting splash pages into the mix – along with the time tested proven ones, this opens the door even more! 
.
One more Note: 
.
As you probably know, we promote TE Profits (TEP) inside Step four and I am still agreeable with this strategy as it teaches a great strategy that can also be applied to Safelists too. Just be sure to apply the strategy to Safelists too!
.
.
FINAL VERDICT:
.
In light of all of this, and after discussion with my personal team leader and sponsor Kathy Von Geldern, I suggest focusing on a dozen good Safelists and then moving on to good Text Exchanges afterwords if you still have time.
.
I hope this has helped give you understanding and a solid strategy to help your team and eventually HELP YOU build YOUR TEAM!
.
The last thing you want is a team that is NOT focused on using good solid advertising and helping you get the new members you need to all grow!
.
SO MAKE SURE YOU ARE USING GOOD SAFELISTS!

for your team and Mailing List:

You might be asking why is building your own capture or splash pages so important?
.
The reason is that people flock to creativity.
.,
If you are a leader and just promoting the same old stuff over and over again, people get bored.
.
I’m not saying that the old faithful GDI TE pages are no good, only that you need to “spice” things up a bit and capture peoples attention from time to time.
.
You also need to create a reason for people to remember your picture when they see it on your page! 
.
Here are a couple sample GDI TE capture pages I made on BuildabizOnline:

To begin making your capture page in BuildabizOnline (BABO), here are the steps to follow:

To start your capture page first go to “Autoresponder” tab in BABO.
.
.
Then send Ian a message to begin your autoresponder. It usually takes a day or so for Ian to get it going for you.
.
Then begin your campaign and give it a name like “GDI TE1” for instance. Click Save.
.
.
Then go click on “Your Campaign” again, click it open and then go to “Change your Capture Page Template“.
.
.
Then choose a template. You can use the one I picked just to give you a good first start template. Press save at the bottom.
.

.
Here’s another possible good one to use. There are about six or seven that will work well with GDI Team Elite. Many of the others have wording or graphics that don’t fit for our pages.

Then go back to “Your Campaign” and choose “Settings”
.

Put your site name in on the top line. Don’t worry about the other lines. Then scroll down to the HTML box. See below:

To get YOUR personal picture on capture BABO Page, I had to go to my personal ws. GDI website, go to “Add Media“, choose a picture and upload it from my file on my computer, then press enter. Then click on the pic and center it. Then press “Text” at the top left of the page  and copy all of HTML code and then go to BABO at the page we are working at in the editor, press “Source” and paste it onto the page. Then press “Source” again and this time you will see the picture. If you need help with this just ask your team leader.

IMPORTANT NOTE:

Make sure you do not take out, delete or change the code that creates the name and email boxes. You will see a warning not to touch that area. Once you are done with this you have made your page. You may now go press save at the bottom of page. Then go to “Your Campaign” and then “See Your Capture Page”.

NOTE: The BABO site remembers “cookies” very easily, so
IF YOU MAKE ANY MORE CHANGES AND WANT TO VIEW YOUR WEBSITE AND SEE WHAT THE CHANGES LOOK LIKE – YOU WILL HAVE TO EITHER ERASE “COOKIES” OR OPEN BABO IN A DIFFERENT BROWSER TO SEE THE NEW CHANGES!

N ow we will begin putting your autoresponder messages together. Put the title of your message first. Then click the html or text button under this. If you use html, I will show you how to do this next. With text, you only need to start typing to enter what you want to say.

Put 0 as the first message that will go out on the very first day when someone subscribes. On the next message make that 1 and then the next message 2 etc…
.
.
To create html message, simply go to your HTML editor on the front page of BABO (not in the Autoresponder area). You will find the tab at the top of the main BABO page. Then type your message in there. Highlight the areas you want bold and press “B” for bold. Then highlight the areas you want a different color and press the tab that adds color to the text.
(Be careful NOT to use the tab that adds highlighted color to the background too – unless you really want it).

Then press the “Source” button and copy all of HTML code. Paste this into your message area in the autoresponder (make sure the html setting has been chosen). Then press save at the bottom of the page. Go back inside “Add/Edit Messages” and scroll down. You wlll see how the message now looks. It should look real nice! You can also edit the message again if you like by pressing “edit” to the right of the message. Make sure if you need to edit the message itself to copy the message in HTML form and paste it back in the BABO HTML editor and press “Source” and you will see message in normal format again. Then repeat above steps.

I hope you like your page! If you want the whold series of GDI Team Elite campaign autoresponder letters, I have them already created in HTML form and you only need to paste them in! Ask me for more details!

PS: All capture pages for TrafficWave and the Power Lead System are much easier to create and the autoresponder series only needs a code to copy all the letters and assign them to your pages! You get all this for free when joining your team leaders link in TW.

It still helps to learn how to make pages with BABO as this is a skill you will use often as a team leader!

Reasons Why You Should Start Building You’re own list and Begin Writing your own emails. 
.
So far we have taught you how important KNOW, LIKE and TRUSTis. We have showed you how the mailing autoresponder inside GDI TE has been set up to bring people to you and begin the process of getting to people to know like and Trust you. Now we are going to show you how you can continue to build know like and trust through your mailing list.
.
You might be asking how can I start my own list when I’m not even a team leader yet? But we talked about that a couple weeks ago. You can go here to read about that. In any case, you CAN start building your email list through the upgrade section of TE Profits here. Ask me and I’ll help you.
.
Now, here’s a question: what happens to your list once the GDI autoresponder series has finished? Is that it? This prospect now never hears from you again?
.
No! That is not what should happen! 
You should be creating new letters to send them and continue building the relationship between you.
.
Did you know that the first 13 or so letters inside the GDI TE autoresponder are copied and added a couple times?
.
This brings the total number of letters to about 27 or so. But they are repeats of the first 13. It’s important to know that these letters are usually not all read at first so that when someone gets the 27th letter for instance, they probably have not read it (even though they probably had the chance to read it twice before).
.
It’s also important to know that after they have gone through the series of letters, that if they haven’t responded by that time they may not be in the right frame of mind to ever respond to GDI TE or not until something changes in their life. So it won’t hurt you to change up the letters to talk about something else.
.
My seven figure mentor taught me that after the first 10 letters or so to share something else. So having another business opportunity to share with them or service or product will change things up a bit and keep your readers interested.
.
 After the 27 GDI TE letters are finished I would recommend for example sending your prospects the next series of letters from TE Profits(TEP) .
.
The question is what do you do AFTER your prospects finish the GDI TE letters and then the TEP series?
.
Now you come to the point where it will be up to you to create your own letters.
.
You are probably wondering how you can possibly do that!
.
It’s not as hard as you think. And here’s the thing. You will be building a PERSONAL CONNECTION with your prospects by writing your OWN letters. Remember what I said about Know, Like and Trust? This is a whole second dimension to that equation and the one that my mentor uses the most. In fact there’s not a day that goes by where I don’t get an email from him sharing some thought and what the newest thing is.
.

When I first started writing email letters for campaigns, I wasn’t very good at writing at all. Even today I have a lot to learn. However I knew that by simply writing one letter each day (whether it was good or not) I would build my experience and I would get better. After writing 20 of them I started to figure it out …and you will too!

What are some guidelines for writing emails? I will be honest, you should really take the course my mentor shared with me about this. And if you contact me I will send you a free copy. But here are some basic points he shared with me:
.
1) Share something painful they might be going through (like having to get up early each morning to go to work).
.
2) Give a practical example of this pain and explain it well so they really can feel it.
.
3) Give a solution to this pain 
.
4) Give them a call to action to do something about it (Either by clicking on a link or by replying back to the email to contact you).
.
Got that? 
.
You should write that formula down and practice this with 20 different letters. Only by that time will it really have sunk in! 
.

Start writing your first email letter. After you have finished, share this with your team leader. You will be well on your way to understanding Step 10 if you begin!

How are you this week? This week we had 11 opt in’s including requests to join and 3 new sign ups this week. Welcome Walter, Steve and Jeremy to the team!

 Thank you Elizabeth helping us with Step Ten.  Elizabeth’s team Marija, Esther, Igor, Krishna, Brenna, Andrjez, and Robert are off to a good start and Elizabeth is sending their own team letter now! They have had one new member join their team this week! 

Arthur has his autoresponder finished and is ready to go. Torab (under Arthur) has received two new members to his team from our combined advertising!
