Many years ago, Jim Rohn wrote a book called \u201cThe \u201cSeasons of Life\u201d<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n

This book was very inspiring to me. It described the different seasons of your business life among other things. Let me share the hard<\/b> core<\/b> basics of the book with you:\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n
.<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n
Each \u201cSeason<\/b>\u201d we are given \u201ctools<\/u>\u201d to work with: the seed<\/b>, the soil<\/b>, the rain<\/b> and sun<\/b>. These are non negotiable. If you use them correctly, they bring reward. We in our business also have tools. And if you learn how to use them, they will have similar effects.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/div>\n

.<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n
The \u201cSpring<\/b>\u201d is the time when opportunities are presenting themselves.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/div>\n
.<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n
\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span>\u201cSummer<\/b>\u201d is a carefree time. But still the \u201cbugs\u201d come out and try to eat away at your business. <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/div>\n
<\/div>\n

\u201cFall\u201d<\/b> is harvest and if you planted and watered during the summer you hopefully will have a return that you need to bring in.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/div>\n

\u201cWinter<\/b>\u201d is when you are tested whether you worked hard to have food during the times when the oppressing cold, wind and snow try to destroy.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/div>\n

Isn\u2019t that a great<\/b> description<\/b>! It\u2019s such a helpful philosophy.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n

Here\u2019s some more thoughts on it:\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n
.<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n
The Spring\u00a0<\/b>is the time when you have the chance to take advantage of the opportunities. The person who \u201csleeps\u201d and doesn\u2019t take advantage of this time is very unwise. <\/span><\/span><\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
.<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n
But you all have to admit, many of us have had a good opportunity presented us and didn\u2019t take advantage of it.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
.<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n
In Summer<\/b> we have the gratification of seeing the \u201cseeds\u201d of our labor growing and coming up! But along side of this we must protect our business from the \u201cbugs\u201d and scorching sun. We must \u201cwater<\/b>\u201d our business and customers and take care of them lest they feel abandoned and dry up.<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n
.<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n
The Fall <\/strong>is the time when if<\/b> you \u201csleep\u201d instead of harvest you will lose<\/b> out. If you didn\u2019t plant in the Spring, now is when this will show. If you didn\u2019t protect and \u201cwater\u201d in the Summer, much of your bisiness will be ruined. But if you worked hard this too will be apparent.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n
.<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n
The Winter<\/b> is the time when if you reaped your harvest in the fall, you will be protected when nothing is growing. You will be happy because you and your loved ones will have food and water when outside is barren.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n

So now I want to share a little of my story as a GDI Team Elite leader looking through the glasses of \u201cThe Seasons\u201d:\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
.<\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/div>\n
1. The Spring:\u00a0<\/strong><\/span>\u00a0When I first became a GDI Team Elite leader in May of 2018, I have to say I was afraid<\/b> I would not be able to bring in new people on my team. The six members I had received from my Sponsor Kathy were falling off. A couple stayed and this helped. It was the \u201cSpring<\/b>\u201d for me and I went out and \u201cplanted\u201d my ads. But I must admit, I had been working on my advertising skills and advertising reach now for a few years and I found I had a good return for my \u201cplanting\u201d. I was hitting around 3000 – 4000 hits a week on my own without much help from my team. But I was getting new people into my business just using the regular GDI TE ads we all get when we first start. I didn\u2019t<\/b> have a lot of creative<\/b> ads out there but it didn\u2019t seem to matter.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n
.<\/span><\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
2. The Summer:<\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/span>\u00a0Soon the \u201csummer<\/b>\u201d was literally upon me and I had been growing my team. It had got up to 15 now – the most I had ever got from working a business before. I was excited and was diligent to \u201cwater\u201d my team. I sent out emails each week to each of my team offering to help them. Even if they didn\u2019t respond, I kept it up.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n
.<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
I also was diligent each week to write a newsletter to help my team<\/span><\/span><\/span>. I was careful to implement all I had seen my seven figure mentor doing. However, honestly sometimes it seemed like I was writing the newsletters for only<\/b> one<\/b> or two memebers of the team and sometimes I even wondered if even they were paying attention! In hindsight now though, I\u2019m glad I wrote every one, as eventually much of the material ended up in some fashion in the Sixteen Steps.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/div>\n
.<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
3. The Fall:<\/span><\/strong>\u00a0In October or November (\u201cThe Fall<\/b>\u201d for real and also for my business), I was contacted by Elizabeta for the first time from a email<\/b>\u00a0I wrote (attached to a Safelist ad I had sent out) and I was surprised that there was another marketer out there with equal or greater passion to succeed then my own! Haha! We quickly joined forces and after both our efforts helping her to become a leader we began working on \u201cThe<\/b> Sixteen<\/b> Steps<\/b>\u201d together. This was a huge catalyst for growth for us and helping out team understand GDI Team Elite and marketing. Soon we had met other great marketers on our team (if you\u2019ve actively completing the Steps – you know who you are) and things really started to move even faster.<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n
.<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n
To me this seemed like the \u201cfall\u201d\u00a0<\/b>for me me when I was really beginning to reap rewards for all the years I\u2019ve been plugging away at internet marketing without a whole lot to show for it. As I write this page I now I have 39 people in my organization somewhere between level 1-5. Often I wake up and see a new member and don\u2019t know them or how they got there! Lol. It\u2019s such a blessing to God to see something like this happen. I\u2019ve been in network marketing organizations for years and years and never seen this happen. But truth be told, what I have is because of the leaders I\u2019ve learned from and the pain and suffering I went through to learn the skills I needed to have. And this is something to encourage you too!\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n
.<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n

4. The Winter: <\/span>\u00a0<\/strong>You have to really laugh because my business has been following similar patters with the actual seasons! So yes I am feeling the winter really coming on. It\u2019s really funny because since June of last year \u00a0I have had a consistent 1-3 new members join my team each week (with only a couple down weeks). But for the last few weeks, no matter what new ads I make or how many hits I get or how many people connect with me and how many ask for the link, it has been a barren land with only a couple new members joining me personally. There are of course reasons for all of this. <\/span><\/span><\/div>\n

.<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n
One<\/b> reasons could be that I need to expand<\/b> my advertising sources<\/b> as maybe the people out there are not new ones or aren\u2019t the kind of people \u00a0we are looking for and are just not interested in GDI Team Elite.<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n
.<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n
The Second<\/b> reason could be that I need to \u201cfish<\/b>\u201d with a different \u201cworm<\/b>\u201d, meaning that I need to come from a whole new angle that might catch their attention. This i have begun to implement but it\u2019s hard especially when you want to keep moving forward and help build your new leaders. Still, the \u201cwinter\u201d it is and maybe it\u2019s a \u201cwinter\u201d for me because I have hit a plateau<\/b> with my marketing skills<\/b> and need to grow past the obstacles. This however, is the fate of all – not just me. So remember these words when you feel the \u201cwinter\u201d coming on (even when it may be summer time).\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n
.<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n

Sometimes the \u201cWinter\u201d can present itself in different forms. You may be a new<\/b> team<\/b> leader<\/b> having no success at bringing in new members. Or you may be just<\/b> getting<\/b> your<\/b> thousand<\/b> hits<\/b> each week faithfully<\/b> and wondering how long it\u2019s really going to take to become a leader yourself.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n

.<\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/div>\n
Just remember this: You\u2019ve hit a similar place as I have and need to grow yourself bigger than the obstacles against you.\u00a0<\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/div>\n

For some or you you may need to write down a new strategy and begin putting it into action. <\/span><\/span><\/div>\n

If you are not \u201cwatering\u201d or contacting your team weekly to help them – then get to work. Write something personal and helpful. Begin a team newsletter<\/b> and commit to making it a success. Napoleon Hill always said to write down what actual work<\/b> you will do to earn the money and success you want. I\u2019m paraphrasing of course but you get my drift.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n

If you are not a team leader yet but have not got to Step Nine yet so you can get in line to start receiving new members, then figure out a time<\/b> in your week where you can just work on getting those Steps done. <\/span><\/span><\/div>\n

If you\u2019re at Step<\/b> Nine<\/b> or above and are waiting for your new members, do all you can to advertise and also help me figure out how to make our pages more responsive. Your insight on the pages I\u2019m using could make the difference. Our unity together could be what gets us \u201cover the top\u201d.<\/span>.<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n

I hope this discussion on the philosophy of the \u201cSeasons of Life\u201d <\/strong><\/span>has been helpful for you! I hope you can see that each season could be at any part in your life (body, soul and spirit) and at any point.
